3月下旬の旧暦3月3日は浜下りの日。
地元の人たちは浜に下り、海水を額につけて海の神様に健康を祈ります。
この儀式はウビナディと呼ばれるそうですが、沖縄の人達にとって海はレジャーの場所ではなく、神様と繋がる聖地なのだということがわかりますね。
ウチナンチュが海を埋め立て辺野古基地建設反対を唱えるのも、単に自然破壊に異議を申し立てるのみでなく、そこが神の棲む場所だからなのです。
聖地を破壊し、汚し、神を追い出す安倍政権、利権業者、それを追認する無関心な神を恐れぬ人たちには天罰が下るのではないでしょうか。
まあ神を知らぬ時点で既に神に縁遠い見放された人たち、という気がします。
March 3 of the lunar calendar in late March is the day of beach descent. The locals go down to the beach, and pray for their health to the sea god. This ceremony is called Ubinadi. You can see that the sea is not a place of recreation for Okinawan people, but a sacred place connected to the god.
